 Issue 57 of Ocean Geographic Magazine 'Surviving earth's most destructive animal' contains my article on Aldabra, the UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Seychelles. The piece takes a look at the effects of 50 years of protection on the biodiversity of the atoll and its surrounding waters.

 I am very pleased to see that my image captured at Aldabra atoll took second place in the Above Water Seascapes category of the United Nations World Oceans Day Photo Competition. The image is of two of the islets that form part of the west channels that allow huge volumes of water to pass in and out of the vast lagoon. A huge thank you to the Seychelles Islands Foundation for making the trip possible.

For one week, guests explored the granitic islands, making two swims each day in the warm, clear waters of the Indian Ocean.
Halfway through their trip, I joined the Swim Trek team onboard their liveaborad located off Curieuse Island for the day. I photographed the inaugural swim between Praslin and Curieuse, together with the rest of the day's activities.
